This was a nightmare matchup for us IMO. They are a solid team and Stoops is a pretty decent coach. They rely heavily on WR turned QB Lynn Bowden Jr to run a modified shotgun option offense. Their disciplined on the lines on both sides (see how they gassed ‘Ville on the ground) Bowden is every bit the athlete Perkins is with a better O line. He however is nowhere near the passer and that’s saying something.

Their D is fairly decent considering they lost a ton last year. Their first team plays well and is an upper mid SEC defense. They run into trouble on sustained drives as they don’t have a ton of depth.

Lots of Ls but have played competitively for a team that lost their star QB early. Sadly I’m not sure if Foster can contain Bowden.

Don’t expect many UK fans in Charlotte. They’ve already moved on to Bball.
