I think some A&M fans are already concerned about his recruiting.

Just watching them play, he has no talent on his present team. McNeilly's been injured though.

Like he did in his first year with us, he has to bring in the players to build his future team. Comparing where he is now at A&M with where he was with us at the same stage, he's not doing as well, yet, IMO, building his future team. With us, he brought Hill with him and convinced Bibbs and Hudson to remain committed to VT. All three were building blocks. He brought LeDay and Allen as transfers, two more building blocks. Then followed them up with his first recruiting class of Robinson, Clarke, and Blackshear. So he already had 8 building blocks in place for year 2, and we were all pretty positive about our future with those players.

At A&M, he brought McNeilly, Gordon, Gultekin, and Miller from our recruiting class. I think McNeilly is likely a legit building block, but the other 3 were "B plan" recruits for us, and, at least so far, looking like B planners at A&M when they hit the floor. In the games I have seen, Gultekin hasn't been playing at all. Miller has played some decent minutes but hasn't done much when he's in the game. Gordon has been playing point guard out of necessity and appears to me to have the talent level of someone like a Tyree Jackson. He isn't the talent level of a Justin Robinson though, not even close. Buzz has recruited a 4 star PG for next year who I'm guessing will move past Gordon. He has also recruited a couple of 3 star players for next year I know nothing about. The players he recruited after he went to A&M haven't made an impact yet, although one 4 star recruit he brought in after leaving us may develop. So, at the moment, a Texas A&M fan could have a legitimate concern if they believe they are only seeing possibly 2 or 3 building blocks Buzz has recruited so far. I could be wrong, but that's all I am seeing so far, so it looks to me that his recruiting effort has been somewhat lacking out of the gate at A&M compared to how he got out of the gate here.
