Against Dayton, I thought we actually played pretty good defense. They were just shooting lights out that night. But against BYU, in the second half we had a lot of mistakes on defensive switches leading to easy baskets and we didn’t close out well on their outside shot attempts at all.

This was the first time that our freshmen have ever played three games in three days at the major college level and I think it caught up with them in the second half last night. Everybody just seemed to be a step too slow.

This tournament, aside from being a fun trip for our players, was a very valuable learning experience too. We found out a lot about our team and what we need to work on.
