And the Hoos hadn't scored on us since the 2016 game. The game last year seemed in hand until the long one-handed catch to Reed (great play from him), and then the long catch and run by Reed (big missed tackle by Floyd) both in the 3rd Q. Our D played really well against UVA but just gave up two big plays. Perkins connected on another long pass to Zaccheus on the 4th quarter drive to put them ahead with 6 minutes left.

In general, despite our defense being much maligned last year we still shut down UVA except for a few big plays. Feels like the D is playing much more sound to not allow that to happen this year. Also, Perkins was getting drilled on almost every passing play...
