dinner to get back to the 'Burg that night so I could tailgate the next morning for the Friday UVA game. From what I recall it was an early afternoon game and maybe even a sellout and a ton of students came back for the game. My mother wasn't all too pleased with that decision to leave before visiting family had even finished dessert, but at that point as a VT student nothing was more important than being there for a beating of UVA and rubbing it in all my Hoo friends' faces. Didn't hurt that VT was 9-1 and coming off consecutive wins over ranked Miami and WVU the previous two weekends.
