I asked the athletic department about the blackout on DISH and they were VERY nice to reply and it is paste below BUT I don't think they are right. As far as I can tell I do not even see the channels 445 or 5424 at all on any packages they have.including the best. My program directory for Saturday shows two channels and the are both blacked out. I agree that this is insane whether you have DISH or Direct!

Your email was forwarded to me from the administration. This is what I have found out.

The game will be shown live on NBC Sports Washington (The former Comcast Sports Washington). NBCSWA is available on Dish on Channel 445 in SD and 5424 in HD.

I am told that not all packages offered by Dish have NBCSWA. Not sure which package you have. The game itself should not be blacked out in the Blacksburg area by NBC Sports Washington. If there is an issue there, that is a matter for Dish Network.

Just as an FYI: As listed on the link from theacc.com that is linked from the football schedule page on hokiesports.com, this game was originally scheduled for NBC Sports Washington + (plus), but has been switched to their primary channel. I have contacted the ACC to let them know the change.
