Revisionist history. Was below avg in ‘18 AND ‘19. Basically the same QB.


His pass stats were slightly better this year than in ‘18 (contrary to conventional belief) but his turnover rate was higher this year. Either way, the differences were minor.

He struggled reading run or pass defenses and made bad decisions in crucial moments in both years. Just think of the unforced errors plus the 3&outs & lack of playmaking in the 3rd quarter when games were still close last yr.

I’m not sure what kept the staff from pulling the trigger on HH before the Miami game. It sure seems like a big WTF no brainer in hindsight. Maybe he was dinged up?
