Point is Kali state laws have no legal bearing on what rules a national organization has for its members to remain eligible. Now it appears that other states are making similar laws and it appears NCAA will be modifying its rules. But not to "comply" with a state law they are subject to, but to serve their member organizations. Subtle but distinct difference.
