Seriously. And killer ST. Suggesting Stiney’s O lead to that is ludicrous.


Man was a seemingly good guy and all Hokie, but an awful and unqualified OC. Had tremendous O talent, VT should’ve been lights out with it. Top end talent created a LOT of smoke and mirrors, fools gold, routinely performing miracles to save his rear.

BUT it’s what Beams wanted, and the focus was clearly by winning with the other 2 phases of the game, so it ‘worked’ for the most part as a whole.

Position coach was perfect for him, thought he was quite good in that role. Pairing him (and others of course) with an actual OC would’ve been great. Have to wonder what could’ve really been for VT during those yrs with an actual O... wow
