The rest, not so much. And it's still a business transaction to you. You're just lumping all the sentimental/emotional stuff on the positive side of the ledger, which is completely fair. Surely you understand how a 19 year old kid doesn't have the same emotional attachment? In other words, their ledger looks different than yours.

I've been to recent SCar games where the stadium was only 2/3 full too. The SEC teams certainly have more of that sentimental/emotional stuff on the ledger than a lot of other teams, but they're certainly not immune.
