Question for game management.
You've just completed a nice pass to Rambo to get to first and goal. Miami, in their furious comeback attempt, has spent 2 of their timeouts. With just one timeout remaining, they can freeze the clock once. We hold destiny of this game in our own hands. We could knee the ball a couple times and take a timeout with 1 or 2 seconds left on the game clock. Then we put Brian Johnson in the center of the field for a chip shot from within a couple yards out.
Instead, we just have McClease blast forward and take the touchdown. In a game where our defense was wearing down and giving up big play after big play, why risk giving them 1:03 left to score.
Are we really that unconfident of Brian Johnson that we believe he can't win a game from within PAT range? Or were we just excited to score that we forgot logic of the game? [Post edited by jcvt11 at 10/08/2019 12:42PM]
