That's a pretty negative take overall.

I don't think it's fair to say Miami gift wrapped 5 turnovers. There was only one fumble. We had players in good coverage make plays on the football on the others. The throws were not good but you have to give credit to our guys that were in the right spots and made plays. Also, the last interception was on fourth down and resulted in VT being pinned inside the 5 yard line. Hard to even count that as a turnover in the sense that a drop would have been just as good.

Also, the focus on the missed PAT is a little over the top. I understand that it slowed their momentum a little bit, but we still drove the field and scored a touchdown in 2 minutes. The missed PAT was meaningless, all things being equal.

You spent no time focusing on all the breaks that went against us. The ref inexplicably blew the play dead on the Miami fumble that we could have returned for a touchdown, they completed a miracle Hail Mary, and we had an interception return to the 5 yard line nullified by a silly penalty (though it seemed like the right call to me). Any of those things go the other way, and we could have won easily.

I'm not saying it's all sunshine and rainbows but we deserved to win that game. Focusing on all the things that went our way and then concluding that we were fortunate to win is misleading.
