This team rallies behind Hendon.

No offense to Ryan Willis, he's a very talented guy, but when he would go down, not many people (offensive line or other) were there to help him back up.

When HH fell down, there was always someone there to help him back up. Whether that was a running back or O-lineman. They "vibed" well with Hendon at the helm, I felt like. More than they vibe with RW.

Also, you can't convince me that Fuente didn't take over play calling there for the first half. The TE boot to Dalton Keene is a Fuente special, one that Corny fails to replicate. We found something that worked, against a defense that isn't easy to trick. Miami is a good team with phenomenal athletes in all areas of the game, this was a fantastic win. Maybe we can build on that. However, we need to be cautious of disregarding RW as a viable QB option. He's still a good QB. And remember how ready everyone was to jump on board the Willis train after his first career start against Duke last season? Stay modest here with Hendon and keep expectations realistic. If we could beat 4 more teams, it'd be nothing short of a miracle.

That being said, Hendon was un-phased by anything. He took some major hits, some dirty hits, and he was still over there without a worry in the world on the sideline. That's pure confidence. Even when things looked bleak and I personally conceded we were gonna choke, Hendon threw two dimes, one to Damon and one to Dalton, to eventually give us that win. He looked poised all day long, getting the ball to the right guy at the right time. Utilizing misdirection and not telegraphing his passes. Didn't hang his head once there when the score was tied or when Patterson dropped the open pass that would've turned the momentum in our favor. Didn't turn the ball over once (which is the first time ever that the Chain didn't make an appearance at home).

That's impressive for a guy that had only completed 2 passes prior to the game on Saturday.
