The clock should stop the instant the ball touches something out of bounds


whether that's the ground, a person who's out of bounds, a handrail of the stadium, something on the sidelines, etc.

I agree, I haven't seen a replay of the clock vs the play yet, but i'm very much interested to see if the ACC tried to screw up another game ending play like Miami-Duke a few years ago.
