Here is the bottom line.....

Fuente is the main issue...The guy has no personality, no charisma, and players can't relate. I have personally met him and he's hard to talk to. Our overall talent is way down, even from just a few years ago. There is a reason we had the second most players in the transfer portal, and they weren't just "complainers" or guys who weren't playing.

For Pete's sake, the guy didn't even take the time to meet the 99 team that was celebrated. How weak is that? $15M or not, the guy has to go. The opportunity cost is too great and if we wait a couple years due to the buyout number, we may not get back to anywhere close to where we were. Time to accept that this was a poor hire and move on. The staff can't recruit and the guys they do get, don't want to stay.

IMHO, Bud leaving has a lot to do with what is going on as he knew what (or what wasn't) in the pipe line. Unless he has some extremely poor health situation that is not public, coaches don't retire at his age, especially just coming off a nasty divorce where he lost 1/2 his wealth. He just got remarried and I'd bet anyone a dollar he surfaces on Shane's staff or somewhere else. Just my .02.
