Last year... We experienced our first losing season in 26 years, It was the first year since 1993 no VT players were taken in the NFL draft, & we had to schedule a short notice make up game with Marshall to keep the bowl streak alive.
Presently, we are 1 and 6 in our last 7 conference games dating to last season and just suffered our worst home loss in 45 years. Those close to the program can acknowledge the cultural change behind the curtain. We drill technique so hard that we seem to become stifled when things break down. It is not bashing to set goals, expectations, and performance thresholds. Most of us are accountable to perform for our business or employer without the blessing of a golden parachute.

I like WB, but because of the Coaching Carousel at the time, he took a risk and went long to extend CJF after year 1, before he & his system were proven to be a fit at Blacksburg. Hindsight is 20/20.
