SC fans are just as frustrated as we are and are no more loyal than Hokie fans. They are actually used to losing.

Another thing is college football is about much more than what happens on the field. Even if we were averaging 6-6 seasons but having Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Vandy, Mizzou and lets say Auburn visiting every other season we would have no problem filling an 80k seat stadium. Tailgating before the Nebraska game in Blacksburg was one of the best memories I have at Lane. Imagine having that experience several times a season. UNC, Duke, BC, GT just can't create the excitement around a stadium like those other schools.

We hung on for a while but we've finally been brought down to the ACC level. Add in Liberty and ODU becoming peers, we've dug ourselves a hole. We need a coach in Blacksburg that can not only coach and recruit but realize these competition problems and be in the AD and president's ear on ways to fix them.
