You guys better hope the next group of coaches knows what they are doing

College football is getting harder and harder to achieve greatness.

More teams to compete for talent.
Less talent available (talent pool at highschool level is dwindeling)
Transfer Portals to mess with team moral.
Kids not sticking around long enough to develop.

I'm telling you, the schools that struggle with recruiting will feel the effects first.
Sorry, Hokies, we are in this group.
The schools positioned with obvious recruiting benefits will feel it last.

I think Fuente's staff was hit with a perfect storm or the following

Kids leaving when they should not have.
Kids getting hurt at key positions.
New Recruiting struggles that any staff at VT would have to face.
Less talent to choose from and less time to develop within.
New rules making it tougher on strategize.

What if this staff just needs to make a few more adjustments and is close to turning the corner.
There are risks with bringing in a new staff.
We were rewarded with patience with Frank Beamer and his staff.
Will we be rewarded with impatience and hastily throwing out a staff?

What coach would it take to face all of these challenges and get us to turn the corner?
Who is out there that could get the job done, and we can afford?

If we are not careful, we will get a new staff that has more diffulties with these challenges, not less.

Forgive the Cliche, Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it.
