Simple sports math isolate opponents biggest relative weakness
They put up 234 on the ground with 3TDs, in the air 2 TDs 8 yards average 20 passes with one a busted double pass.
Put 4 WRs out there that means we have 7 ... 2 DTs, 2DEs 3 LBs or 2LBs and a safety to play a running QB. Our weakest players are in that 7. Put some motion into the equation and we ended up with 6 in the box, with the 2 LBs taking the wrong gaps on the RB romp to the endzone as well as the QB romp.
I know this was the favored excuse - poor execution, but this aint so hard that execution should have factored into it. Any sport you play when you have someone who can't get it done, you try to help them and to do that you take risks.
I've seen non FCS RBs block our DEs really well. Our DTs were just hanging on. Get them tired gassed I dunno... can't imagine the replacements were ready for Duke.
Everybody wants to talk about our bad LB play but is that really this team's weakness? Am I to understand some folks thing it was Safety and DB play? Come on man.
