I can’t decide whether Cutcliffe just wanted to get his players some ST trickeration practice or there was more to it.

Did someone say fuente upset Cutcliffe or something? I would think a coach wouldn’t want to reveal a secret play, unless he really wanted to develop a bag of tricks and start becoming a Less Miles character where your team is able to execute a variety of trick plays. I always admired that about the grass chewing mad hatter.

If that’s the case, it makes sense from a coaching standpoint to have your players execute trick plays in game situations where the game is so well under control that they can execute under safe conditions in case they screw up.

Hoping that’s the case and that Cutcliffe has a few more in his bag of tricks. I don’t think he’s a bad coach personality-wise and I wouldn’t be upset if duke football continued to improve.
