Don Brown would be my first choice if Harbaugh is fired this year, but I don't think we could get him.

I don't know who you look at this year honestly. Watts at Fresno is an interesting one. I think some names are going to become available that we are not thinking of, but it would be most advantageous for recruiting if we can get our guy narrowed down before then. I'm not a fan of Blackwell. In 2018 his defense was 101st. In 2019 his defense is 31st (through 3 games). Yeah, I get that it's ECU and ODU. Before 2019 he was coaching in FCS for four years. From a results perspective, we don't know anything about this guy. If we were to go that route, I'd just as soon hire a former Hokie with no DC experience.

Obviously many people would like to see a former Hokie like Gray, Grantham, or Ward. Gray might be alright. I wouldn't want the other two. It's really a shame that the Galen Scott situation happened.
