Jermaine Waller's 3rd down sack in 2Q was vintage Foster defense.

This defense has the talent. You can see it each time they penetrate the offensive line and get into the backfield. But that's only half the battle we need to tackle. And that goes on absolutely everyone on the defense. Same issue plagued this team last year. Our defensive backs are just as they were last year, so we can't hang our hats on them breaking up plays. The pressure was lacking last year and that seems to have improved from last season (through two games at least).

As for the offense, fire Cornelsen/make Fuente the OC for the year and get playmakers the ball. I thought that would be pretty straightforward but current OC enjoys running it right up the middle after each big play. Which serves to slow the game down and hurt momentum (thought that was common sense, but Corn doesn't understand). Not to mention it wastes a down. Utilize the overwhelming talent you have at WR and TE. To make matters better, he gets Willis to run the ball after an ODU turnover on downs, which resulted in a fumble, after neglecting that simply putting it in McClease's hands would've sealed melted clock. THAT'S WHEN YOU RUN THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE. I'm not joking when I say some of our fans are more competent with being an offensive coordinator.

Just my no-****, Sherlock insight from a couch coach.
