The best way to do this is with the "family sharing" feature. Basically, you can tie YTTV to 5 different google accounts.

So In my family, I have an account, my wife has an account and my kid (at college in Blacksburg) has an account. The home screen, library and DVR settings are custom to the individual.

I think there is a "switch account" feature in most of the YTTV apps, but in my family we just use my account for the main TV screen.
