It's a critical year to shape the perception/narrative of Fuente's VT prog.
Current national perception (lazy or not) is VT might be on the decline, and hopes spring eternal around us (UNC, UVA, UMD, GT). This is reflected in the 2020 recruiting class which looks terrible right now. We need to prove last year was the fluke we know it was and win 9+ (10+ to really move the needle) to give us some momentum heading into the off-season where we have to hire a DC and get some top 2021 talent to head our way. Fall flat this year and recruiting, which hasn't been Fuente's strength, is going to become much harder.
