That area of New England is my favorite, full disclosure I actually went to school up that way (I'm a Hokie from birth) and lived in Boston for a few years after graduating. Took every chance I could get to drive up to Maine... Portland, Ogunquit, Kennebunkport, and Freeport were always on my list!
