So we cut the cable chord this year, but wait, what about Hokie football?

Just thought I would post my research and findings, in case any other hokies out there are freaking out this week.

To start, we decided to drop cable about 6 months ago when they quietly tried to double our rate without notifying us. So we just have high-speed internet feeding the house.
(And finally there are SOLID options to replace cable available if you have good internet)

That being said, after all the analysis, looking at all of the options, revisiting what cable is currently offering, and where the ACCNetwork is offered, and the various TV providers, with various DVR options, and considering my Older TV's (some smart (current), some smart (old), and some not very smart at all!) here is the solution that solved all of my problems.

(This is based on todays offers, but fortunately most choices are month to month)

Bought a Roku for my older TV's, and subscribed to YOUTUBE.TV

Currently it's a better deal than HULU, has all the channels my wife wants,
HAS THE ACCNETWORK AND ESPN CHANNELS (go hokies), and has easy to use DVR Library with unlimited recording capability. (looking at you HULU)

It took 10 minutes to setup, you can watch using 3 different tv's simultaneously, if your tv's are smart and less than a few years old, they should already support YOUTUBE.TV app,
and you can buy a roku device for any that arent, and you can watch Hokie football from any TV, PC, or phone, anywhere you are.

For best results, use a direct ethernet on your primary TV's, but wireless connections work well enought, just a little slower on channel changing etc.

I hope this helps some Hokies out there!

SHHHHH, I see Hokies at 7-0 going into Notre Lame game. Cheers and Go Hokies.
