Apparently I have Extreme, too. May I ask how much the difference was/is?
Well, this might be a bit confusing, I pulled out my previous Extreme HD plan and my new Home&Family plan proposal (I haven't received the first invoice yet) and the breakdowns are different, so I can't give you a direct comparison on TV package vs. TV package at this time. (My previous Extreme HD monthly invoice had a breakdown of TV-Phone-Internet charges. The new Home&Family plan proposal has them "Bundled" together labeled as "New TriplePlay").
-Previous 2-yr Extreme HD Plan:
$141/month for TV-Phone-Internet (as a 6 yr. customer I received several discounts). The Extreme HD TV portion was: $64.99 - $15.00 discount = $49.99/mth. I did not have 'auto-pay' which would have reduced my total bill by maybe another $5 to $10/mth. It was my understanding that the price would have gone up to about $160-$165/mth (with discounts) to renew my Extreme HD plan.
-New Home&Family Plan:
$135/mth for TV-Phone-Internet. That includes a $40 Bundle Discount + $10 auto-pay discount (to the best of my discernment of the many mumbo-jumbo "add-ons" and "removes" they list). I would anticipate that my first bill will breakdown TV-Phone-Internet charges.
Both plans included monthly DVR (1) rental @ $12/mth and the maintenance plan @ $11/mth.
Hope this is somewhat helpful. You should ask them to email you a list of the Home&Family and the Extreme HD channels for comparison. I couldn't get that comparison to come up at the Verizon website. When I was talking with the support person (ph. 855-556-2958) regarding channels I might loose, I mentioned a couple of Extreme HD channels he didn't even know they had and couldn't find (LOL). Make sure any discounts or "no-charges" they agree to over the phone are specifically listed on the proposed agreement they send you. I got burned on that once. Good Luck.
