past president of the HC confirmed to me a couple of years ago, the implementation of the new fundraising model was Whit's baby, not TILI. TILI just implemented it. Now the long term results of that model are coming to fruition. TILI's presentation at the town hall meetings was all on him, not Whit.
When I met privately with TILI a few weeks after the town hall in meeting, I told him I can see the need for the money, but the presentation sucked. TILI explained/defended the presentation by saying he designed the powerpoint/presentation personally. I retorted that just because he (a self-described fundraiser) had designed it personally, didn't make it suck less.
The plan was to replace old time donors with new donors. TILI alienated the long-term donors, and the new donors can't replicate the lost revenue. Piss poor planning on the part of TILI and Whit.
