I was bartending at the Hokie House and he would come in sometimes. He and I were sitting at the end of the upstairs bar and i asked him, “So how good is this year’s team going to be?”

He said the D-line was absolutely sick and the secondary was gonna feast as a result. I asked about Vick and he said he was the craziest athlete he’d ever seen and would light it up.

Finally, I asked him how he thought they’d match up against a team like FSU? His answer:

“They have sick athletes all over the field - but so do we. I’d love to find out how we match up.”

About 5 months later they got their chance and I was in that dome watching!
