For me there are 2 driving factors

1. The amount of time required to attend a game including drive time to and from the game. As I have gotten older, I have realized that it is no longer feasible for me to allocate my entire Saturday just so I can attend a VT home game 6-8 times in the Fall.

2. Familial responsibilities. Both of my parents turned 69 this year and Saturdays are pretty much the only days I can drive down from NOVA to the Harrisonburg area so I can help them around their homes. Also, my father has Parkinson's and the disease has really taken a toll on his mind and body. I decided a few years ago that I would rather spend time with them and watch the game on the TV than attend the game in person and miss out on time with them.
