We made the decision to remove the "Hokie News" feed from the home page for several reasons. Note that it can still be accessed via the menu by selecting "News -- Hokie News Links."

1.) Many media outlets are removing RSS feeds from their sites. The Roanoke Times recently quit providing RSS feeds, and thus their articles disappeared from our feed.

2.) More and more traditional media outlets are putting up pay walls, most notably the Richmond Times-Dispatch and the Washington Post.

3.) Item (2) has created many complaints from our readers, threats to cancel TSL subscriptions, and actual TSL subscription cancellations.

Therefore, we have made the decision to remove the feed from the home page. If you like the feed and still want to use it, select "News -- Hokie News Links" from the site menu.
