Its been said repeatedly that the waiver request filed was for sick mom

not for coach change. The 100 mile rule didn't apply, thus they had to re-apply. Sounds like VT or Hoffman's people messed up.

I hate the NCAA as much as anyone and yes I believe they play favorites and that their application of the waivers is suspect. But, it's better to be incensed over actual facts rather than incorrect information. It's not a good look, remember the boy that cried wolf?
