Not all 5* are great; not all 2-3* are busts.

But when you’re building a P5 team (let’s focus on D for the sake of argument) on the backs of 3* and JUCO it’s reasonable cause for alarm. Because the odds aren’t great. I can say that. You have to be far more measured about that sort of thing.

When people act like VT always lands the diamonds nobody else saw, it’s wishful thinking these days. Every team finds studs out of nowhere. Picking up a 5* that doesn’t contribute until junior year bothers me as much as filling spots with decent to good but not great players.
