If we can't backfill Blackshear with either a decent grad transfer or other
other good option I would favor using the scholarship now to pick up a player like him rather than holding it. He looks like a nice power forward prospect to me who shows versatility to both face the basket or play with his back to the basket. That somewhat depends on his recovery from his ACL injury, but if solid, I would favor taking a player with his skillset whenever we can get that type of player. He looks like he has as much talent as anyone we could reasonably expect to sign out of HS next year and they would both be hitting the floor at the same time, except he would have more experience already. It would leave us with 4 scholarships for our '22-23 class (if nothing changed, which isn't likely).
