now so the switch will take place with the next DC. So VT may not have the same recruiting disadvantages with the next DC.

If Foster had made the switch when he was younger or in his prime, then it is possible VT could have landed some high profile instate recruits that ended up signing with UVA (i.e. Ahmad Brooks). It is hard to say if VT would still be faced with those same recruiting disadvantages today.
