The more I think about it, the more I like it.

there's long been a discussion between fans of CFB about time off. Is it good? Is it bad?

We see this every year during bowl season. Some teams heal up and come out strong. Other teams come out sluggish and w/o any sense of timing. This is behind some of the upsets, IMHO.

True, we have a usually-physical PittPA team the week before. We'll have our bruises. I think it was either Pitt's or Syr's coach years ago that said, after upsetting an over-ranked VT squad, "Hotter fire makes for harder steel". We'd played no one to that point, and they had. We got whipped.

End of season, so maybe that doesn't apply. Maybe.
But golly, that's a LOT of time off for UVA. Maybe too much. I think they hoo it.

I have a feeling their timing will be off, having just done practices only, and playing a relatively much slower Liberty team. I like it.
