There is a reason UNC is largely the poster boy throughout the news media when the NCCA imposes sanctions on a school and the first contention of a double standard involves a reference to the "UNC fiasco".. UNC won the battle to save their basketball program but, they lost the war for the university's reputation and the "Carolina Way", a price far greater than the money they shelled out to avoid sanctions.
