Sure there is a reason to play a DI-FCS school


When VT is up 42-0 midway through the second quarter (or half time), the coaches can make the decision to play on the 2nd, 3rd, and maybe 4th team for the entire second half. Basically it can give the backups valuable game experience that could be useful later in the season when VT is playing tougher competition.
