I do not think we'll have one of our historically better D lines, but

I view things differently. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

Hewitt will be a leader, but I'm thinking he'll wind up as the #3 DT (maybe hoping). He just doesn't produce. I think Porcher (if healthy) & Crawford can take the starting spots. Last I read Cunningham seems to be in doubt, which hurts, but that leaves us looking for what will be a luxury compared to last year: a healthy #4 & #5 DT. I'm not sure we had ANY healthy DTs at the end of last season. Between Brown, Fuga, and maybe Kendricks (Penciling in Pollard for a redshirt due to size), we can find another DT if needed, but we've played with 3 in the past.

DE is a big unknown, but the guys we have we were happy to sign when they were finishing up high school. If evaluations were good, THIS is the season they should start producing. It'd be best if they were still #2s, but I think Belmar, Garbutt, DeBose, Proctor, Adams, & Becton can be solid.

If we can manage one occasional playmaker at each spot this season, which may be reasonable, I think the O will be able to win us some games this season.
