Looking back, Coker actually did pretty well, and did win a National Championship with Miami...

I would argue Butch Davis was the WORST coach they've ever had - despite having a roster ridiculously brimming with NFL talent they never won it all, and if I remember correctly we were 5-1 against Butch's UM teams. I've always thought of him as a great recruiter who always looked to me, at all of his coaching stops, to be thoroughly disorganized on the sideline. And then at UNC he showed us how dirty he is and how he likely got many of those top recruits.

So, IMO we shouldn't be hard on Coker - he also put together some winning seasons at UTSA, which is actually pretty amazing given that they're still largely thought of as a commuter school.
