than me when it comes to the schedule. As an engineer, I (you, anybody) are sometimes told to generate a better way for a system to operate. You charge ahead and develop alternatives to make the system better. There is always a "Do nothing" alternative because the alternatives just aren't viable because of cost, schedule or physics and the best solution is to do nothing. It's tough to tell the PM that the best solution is to do nothing. In my business, when the warfighter yells loud enough, money suddenly becomes available and a better solution Becomes viable.

So as much as I'd like to $#itcan our old Big East buddies Pitt and Syracuse (I can live with BC) that won't happen. Fortunately, Tech seldom plays them.
I still hope they work on the schedule and who knows maybe UM or somebody else jumps to the Big 12 like WVU did (TIC).
