Obviously he didn't have three consecutive NCAAs or a Sweet 16, but he did have two NITs and an NCAA appearance (which arguably should have been two, with 2008's NCAA snub). Given the famine we'd experienced in the eight years before he arrived, we'd probably still be romanticizing what he did. Instead, we saw the program plateau and then gradually decline so most of us feel nothing toward him.
