VT by far ahead of every other conference in terms of future scheduling
Interesting article from UCF blog questioning the results of their refusal to do 2-1's with P5 schools. They have 33 OOC slots to fill over the next 10 years, by far the most outside of the independents (where every game is OOC).
What was more interesting is that VT has only 1 slot to fill over this decade, in 2025 (expect a cupcake there with PSU and Wisconsin already slated). Not really sure what to think about this. We seem to have one quality OOC game each season, stretched a little to include UMD and BYU as "quality" teams. Most SEC schools still have over 20 slots to fill. I guess they can pick and choose more readily, and like the ACC only play 8 conference games. But still a bit surprised that we're one of the few teams in the top 7 conferences with open slots in the single digits.
