more so then football recruiting we tend to give too much blame when things dont work out and too much praise when they do. The body of work as they say is pretty limited- to a handful of cases . Circumstances beyond anyone's control one way or the other - are often the most salient factor in the final decision. so good luck or bad luck is often what shapes our perception of one's recruiting chops. but i will add that if a recruiter at a less than marquee program has a real hot streak- my antenna goes up as to why .
