Is it the new coach?

It seems that a lot of the perceived issues and concerns fans have with the football program were a part of the basketball program. Player attrition? Buzz had that covered? A lack of transparency? We have no idea what happened with Chris Clarke and information about Landers Nolley only seemed to trickle out, and we had only rumors to go on about when JRob was returning.

I'm genuinely curious why people are now more interested in the basketball program and whether or not a 2019-20 year with a 9-4 football team and a 15-16 basketball season will return things to an equilibrium.
