Just looked at Buzz's first year roster in '14/'15.

Even though he went 11-22 (2-16 in ACC), I think he had more talent and bodies than what CMY currently has at his disposal. So, though I wasn't doing handstands with the hire, nor understood the big contract and buyout, I'm now all in on supporting the coach. And, I agree with LaBlue that it's going to take at least 3 years to evaluate CMY. I'm rooting for his success, because it will be nice to have a coach without a foot out the door their entire tenure. Even though, I heard Buzz really liked being at VT and was only going to leave for Tx or A&M. I think the rumors of his imminent departure (along with the resignation of so many asst. coaches) created havoc on our recruiting the last several years.

Back to my original intentions for the post - Buzz left the cover more bare than JJ (do you agree?), and I'd be ecstatic to make it 10 wins next season no matter who ends up on the squad. I don't see us getting any "1 and dones", so the players we get will have to be coached-up to become ACC caliber.

I'm promising myself to be patient, but I will miss having a team that was capable of winning against any opponent.
