Most often, lack of playing time is the impetus for quitting...


Kids most likely to quit are the ones not good enough to get on the field.

Its not a concern in my opinion. You don't need a transfer portal to quit. If a kid has given up, then the transfer portal is everybody's best friend.

Managed correctly, I see the transfer portal as the best way to keep a healthy roster; to move the right people in quickly, and the wrong people out quickly.
