I asked this question to Rev on the recruiting board last month


...and he said:

" majority usually reclass backwards to improve chances of playing at higher level. Extra year of development, making them older for their class. Then, when they reclass back into their original class, it is because they become pleased with their recruitment and don’t see the need to stay in high school that extra year."
