I think the tide will turn on what you get and it will improve. Here's why

The current target audience is TV [from TV timeouts, to days and start times of games]. Yet, fans in the stands are valuable for TV. So, as more and more people start to choose TV over the game day experience, the game day experience will have to be priced lower! So, I expect that market forces will force ticket prices, parking prices down. This has already started to happen at places like Georgia Tech - easy to get a ticket at a good price, even through official channels.

Right now it is back door for VT. You will be able to get cheap tickets for every VT home game in 2019, but on the open market. Since the season ticket model is financially illogical - [seriously? Pay a premium for access for tickets to Furman, ODU?], it is only a matter of time before you will see the trend reverse and we will get more for our money. Unfortunately, the game day experience, with the bad start times, and the time outs, replays, interruptions won't be like it was in the 90's, but next year, 2020, will be better than 2019.
