It's lost in all of the success since, but Tech's 38-13 upset of UVa in '90


the Hoos were loaded with talent, had spent a couple of weeks as the #1 team in the nation. Tech football was fighting to ever be good. Hoo all-star QB Shawn Moore as injured, leaving Matt Blundin as the UVa QB.

On a windy day in front of a record crowd of 54,000+ fans, Tech won the toss and deferred.
